Tomatoes à la provençale

A touch of Provence and the Mediterranean coast in your cuisine. The perfect vegetable dish to accompany omelettes, grilled meat or fish.

Provencal tomatoes, fried with herbs, the perfect side diish for eggs, meats and fish

Ingredients (for 6 people)

  • 12 tomatoes

  • 3 tablespoons olive oil

  • 1 bunch of parsley

  • 3 cloves of garlic

  • 2 tablespoons breadcrumbs

  • salt, pepper

Procedure

  1. Wash the tomatoes and remove their stalks. Cut them in half..
     
  2. Preheat the oven to 180°C (6). Place the tomatoes, skin-down, on an oiled pan
     
  3. Salt and pepper. Chop the parsley leaves, cloves of garlic and breadcrumbs. Sprinkle the tomatoes with this mixture.
     
  4. Trickle with olive oil. Put in the oven for 45 minutes and enjoy.

How to Serve :

Serve hot with omelettes, roasted meat or fish.
